Dethlirium Interview


1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

Dethlirium was formed in February 2016. Igor (guitar) and me had played together in a couple of bands and our idea was to play powerful and fast music in this band,

 2.Recently you have released an ep, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording?

We don´t want to limit ourselves to a particular genre. We mix Thrash, Black and Death Metal with dark environment. We recorded the ep in the best studio recording you can find in our region. A good production was important for us.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?

The songs talk about global news, religions, historical facts and some crazy ideas.

 4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Dethlirium'?

Dethlirium means “ Delirium of death ” just before you die.
The inspiration is simply the death.Music and lyrics must have a connection.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?

Our best show was the first at the moment.It was last weekend and it was just the beginning… We really wanted to present our music live.
Dethlirium live show is dark, aggressive and thunderous.


6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?

We have already closed dates, and working for the future.

7.The ep was released on 'Brutal Arratia Records', can you tell us a little bit
more about this label?

They´re young people, close to us. We knew them. It was the best option for this release.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of extreme metal?

Dethlirium has been played on radios from different countries and fans from another places too.We are a new band and this is our first release, we are working step by step.

9.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

We want to follow with our own style and evolve, of course.

10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

Pantera, Death, Dimmu Borgir  the favorites.
Right now we listen to Lamb of God, Revocation, The Black Dahlia Murder.

 11.What are some of your non musical interests?

We haven´t too much free time after our regular jobs, partying is always a good option…

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
